How to compress an image without unnecessary quality loss
Image compression reduces the file size of a photo so it is easier to send through WhatsApp, attach to email, upload to a form, or publish on a website. Upload an image, choose a quality level, run the compression, and compare the new file size with the original before downloading. The conversion happens in the browser, so you do not need to install desktop software for a quick one-off task.
Lower quality produces a smaller JPG but may soften text, faces, and fine details. Start with a moderate setting and inspect the preview at full size rather than choosing the smallest possible file immediately. JPG works well for photographs; screenshots, logos, and graphics with transparent backgrounds may look better as PNG or WebP, which this tool does not preserve.
